Sarah Palin is not awesome, not even close.

I am currently shitting myself. Not that I don’t normally, due to my awesome health quotient.  Sarah Palin is now headline news in a country that needs anything but shithead-unqualified-people using her lack of anything that resembles qualifications to be Vice President of this country. Let me say that I really refrain from saying anything about politics in this country, considering the fact that corruption is the daily norm. Now if we are going to put obscure people with zero  ability to lead, let alone, lacking the normal skills of parenting, we might be running into the end of common sense as we know it. Common sense is a funny thing, no one uses it when necessary. We know the past 8 years have been a shit storm, do we really need another hurricane of geriatrics and inexperience. It is not a question McCain is at his wits end but did he need to mortgage American’s futures with a flashy choice to only fail us when we need actual leadership? Think about it, we might be fucked now, but it won’t get better till we play as adults with minds, not bitching out with gut wrenching sympathy for the incompetent. Mahalo, and I will admit I was way off last year with my shitty predicitions. Which means, I don’t know shit about anything, so take this for what it is, another awesome piece written by Jeff. Peace.

TOKYO STORM WARNING

Here we are watching violence continue across the Middle East and all we can do is fear it. The only problem is this how the war drums keep beating on their own, as they have for decades. The problem with this is that perpetual war is nothing a civilized civilization cares to brag about. But when money is the root of all the fighting why do we choose to get behind the next war? Simple, they makes us think we are actually at risk. The truth is we all have a better chance of getting in a fender bender than being killed by either terrorism or a foreign attack of some kind. It is the politicians who want us running scared so they can keep the money machine pumping. Well I’ll keep an eye on this; lets hope Im wrong and there isn’t any more violence. Hey it could happen.

First day of working out of the summer

Now that grades are published and I will not have to do summer school for the first summer in a long while I find myself having to dedicate this summer to new personal goal. Fortunately with my poor eating habits and lack of execercise this past semester this summer will be the summer of the gym. I dont need lose weight or anything its more of I feel like a lazy sack of shit more than anything. Motivation to go to the gym is at an all time low but I have been watching the college crowd and have seen an uprise in chub. This is a warning sign to me and should be to all of us. Taking care of ourselves sucks. It is no fun and ultimately were gonna die anyways. But I hate waking up and feeling guilty about sitting on my computer all day playing video games. That is just a recipe for carpal tunal syndrome and diabetes. So in exactly less than an hour I will be off to the gym at 6 A.M. in hopes of kicking my lazy ass into doing something proactive. Mahalo.

Being Tapped Never Felt So Good.

Well I was right, I knew it all along. We have been watched since those buildings fell  on 9/11 and gave all citizens their new rightfull term “terrorist”. Yes kids, we are all terrorist to King George. Why wouldn’t we be? Think of it like this, if there is an easier way to stop opposition completely and get total compliance: create mass surveilence. Then there is no way anyone has a right to privacy or for that matter a right to their own life without the governement looking over your shoulder. This is not a good sign of things to come but now we know. This means we need to vote out the Republicans for letting Bush get more than out of hand. Not to mention gas prices and the war right around the corner with Iran. Is this not the world you envisioned for your children? Because I sure did, I might be cynical but boy did I make a good move with the vesectomy. So stay tuned. Until I get carted off into Gitmo with the rest of the terrorists. God Bless The Old America, the one that didn’t hate its citizens.

And Iran Iran so far awaaaaaay….

So. Things could not be better. War with Iraq is going splendidly and oh yes, Iran coming to a theatre near you. This summer we will be treated to the first nuclear war of the 21st century. Oh, how swell. Yes, let us revel in the future of brain tumours and everything else that comes with tons and tons of radioactive waste material. All I have to say about this is, no! If this happens and crazy George W. Bush drops a bomb on Iran kiss reality and common sense good bye. Can anyone spell unstable middle east? Or even better, suicide bombers? The lies keep coming but can we avoid the death and destruction? Let us hope we can and hopefully the truth will prevail just maybe this time around. But if I had to put my money on a truth telling George Bush well you know the answer to that. I would probably be kidding myself as well as all of you reading this to think he is on a logical playing field. Let us hope we survive this presidents bull shit. God save the Queen. And buy your Ipods now because how else can we drown out all the bombs soon to be dropped?

The City Of Calabasas Think’s That Banning Smoking Outside In Public Is Logical…Oh Boy

I am speechless. Not in the way where I am unable to speak but in what local government considers to be important. If you have not heard by now, it is now illegal and punishable to an upwards of $500 dollars for smoking out in public in Calabasas. Not only is the law unconstitutional when did liberals decide that acting like their hated conservative counterparts is justifiable? Not only is this new law imposing on civil liberties (the right to kill ones self) but it is opening a scary reality in which people will slowly condone the depletion of civil liberties as they exist today. It is not an issue that second hand smoke can kill but do we need a law stating that outdoors for goodness sakes, a person can enjoy a cancer stick if they so choose to. Yes, many people including myself detest having to breathe smoke from smokers. Yet I have enough sense to either ask them politely to put it out or to just move 10 feet away from them and avoid it altogether. It is like saying to people don’t drive your car because it omits air polution which harms all of us a greater deal than cigarettes can anyhow.

What makes this law even more inane is that it was prposed by a 19 year old who was uncomfortable sitting outside on a patio at a restaurant. A 19 year old who barely is old enough to vote decides to make other peoples lives miserable because they cannot get the courage to either sit inside or just ask the smoker to put the cigarette out. Common sense is hard to come by these days but acting like the end all be all of what is socially acceptable is not the way to go about things. One would think that Calabasas city hall would have better things to do than come up with non-crimes and hunt down every potential smoking threat in the city of Calabasas. I must remind you the reader I do not smoke but I find it as a slap in the face to civil liberties and the constitution which states it is legal to smoke in California. The law itself is beatable in court anyways because the city of Calabasas has no actual right to change a state law. What is even more unbelievable is that the sale of cigarettes is still completely accepted in Calabasas yet no one is allowed to smoke them in public. As you can see the law was created with thought that “hey look we can finally rid ourselves from people who smoke cigarettes outside in my personal space”. The only problem is what happens when people start telling you that you can only drive your car to and from work? Or that you can only be out till 10 at night? These things seem far fetched but when you examine how something such as civil liberites come into play and you see them disapear from the Patriot Act and now this law against smoking in Calabasas it makes you wonder how much freedom we have left.

3 Years Later and Hello Civil War

It is one day closer to the end of the Bush administration yet no one seems as antsy as I am for the insanity to end. I know people hate hearing my politics and that I am not well read enough to point fingers but I beg to differ. It has come to this country’s attention that the war in Iraq is now a complete failure. Civil war has broken out and no one in theCivil War in Iraq Bush administration wants to fess up to the utter failure that is “Operation Iraqi Freedom”. Now almost 3 years later we sit in a position that rivals Vietnam. Not necessarily in the amount of American deaths, but in how the war was illegally orchestrated and how it ultimately has ended up costing billions of dollars and has made us much weaker in foreign policy as well as many other important facets which protect the American people.Mission accomplished?
