Another Poem Before The New Year

Contraband and Silver Moons
Jeff Klepper

Beauty dies in the beholders eyes
The sunset bursts within a lovers thirst
But who can see beneath the skin?
Of the human stature buried in sin
Carried in tombs to the star above
To misinterpret ideas as simple as love
Ancient constellations and vacant burials standalone
To envelop mans curiosity and his romance with the unknown

Some Rather Brash Words Before The New Year…

Behavoiral Sciences of The Correspondent Moons
Jeff Klepper

Glass candelabras hanging in pristine churches
Germanic trails leading to glistening perches
The organic tongue of the carnations bloom
Is robust in nature but warrants its own plume
Feral crafts from circumstances far and near
Plummet into oblivions own artistic sphere
Revel in the lights own ability to blind
Swirls of indignity are far often too kind
Caress the towel of luxury and kiss its face
Pray to the gods of such a hideous place
Travel to ends beginning and sing its praise
For tonight is like no other so must we behave

Get With The Program Kids: Jeff’s Look into 2008

Well, I feel somewhat inspired to write something about what I see happening this coming year. First off, the coming election in 2008 should be pretty disappointing. For those of us cynical realist out there we have not had anything positive happen politically since the towers fell so here is my slant on the election. Hillary will sadly get the democratic nod and some Republican will get it, right now I am not totally sure. It probably won’t be Mike Huckabee or John McCain that is for sure. But regardless this is just another recipe for a swing state disaster. The election will be too close for comfort and we will again fall victim to corruption. Expect Ohio to be the target of more black voters being kicked off voters lists and Florida might be another disaster again as well. We will see another Republican as president. It is sad, but going to happen. It is time to say we have nothing to believe in but corporate rule and mindless celebrity gossip. So long America. It was fun while you lasted. But I might be wrong. But lately I have been right. So, maybe I should buy a lottery ticket. So here is to another year of political imbalance and corporate greed. See you all next year. Mahalo.

P.S.: Get out while you can.

Something new….

Situational Soundings Of The Architect: The Fear of Being
Jeff Klepper

Im afraid to be political the monsters are too vicious
Im afraid to be a revolutionary for causes are so pernicious
Im afraid to be a priest for god has driven his people out
Im afraid to be a scholar for history is in a constant state of doubt
Im afraid to be a man for we are the first one to fight and die in war
Im afraid to be a lover for constancy has never been a strong point for me
Im afraid to be a hypocrite for human nature seems to be obsessed with it
Im afraid we are all these things and forgive me for reminding us of it
