Something Real for the Masses

Sunset Over Manhattan: Marry The One You Shove
Jeff Klepper

It has become more than clear that gargoyles do stop the spirits
And we all know there are scarier things than omnipresent gonifs
Let it be known that the dead are forever allowed to kiss the wind
While the present propose such preposterous thoughts and kill their kin
It is a response to a life filled with toxic thoughts bought by religious lies
And when we empty out our homes to move into where we die
That is when the weirdness consumes the whole of the ordeal
But we will thank our friends who listened to our babble
And hate our parents that much for their input they shoved down our throats

And even when the sand is bronzing in the sun, we can recall the look of something real
God is nothing new, so remember, if you have thought it, it surely has no appeal
